A couple more familiar faces grace our blog this week! Last Summer, I was taking Marlie & Giuseppe's engagement photos, and this year I was honored to witness and capture these two become Mr. and Mrs. Fiduccia! After meeting each other's big, fun, and loving Italian families, these two knew they were a match made in heaven. Marlie reminisced on their first date at Starbucks in 2017 where they meshed together seamlessly from the start and talked for five hours straight! And now, Marlie & Giuseppe will be able to talk about anything and everything with one another forever as Husband and Wife!
When Marlie and Giuseppe first met, they both thought that the other was the most beautiful/handsome person in the world. So, I guess you could say it was pretty much love at first sight, haha! After a month of endless conversations, laughter, and growing fondness, Giuseppe showed up to Marlie's house to pick her up for a date. After Giuseppe opened the car door for Marlie, she saw a bouquet of roses in the seat, and upon closer inspection she saw there was a note asking her to be his girlfriend - how cute!! Then, they went to the Shedd Aquarium and to dinner at one of their favs, Grand Lux Cafe.
Now, the dating story isn't the only time you'll be hearing of Shedd Aquarium, because this aquarium will now hold a special place in both of their hearts forever. Knowing that downtown Chicago is one of Marlie's favorite places on earth, Giuseppe took her out on a date one beautiful day. They ended up next to Shedd Aquarium where Marlie looked down to find Giuseppe on one knee with the most gorgeous ring and the most jaw-dropping view of the Chicagoland skyline in the background. Grinning from ear to ear, Marlie said, "yes!" and now, nearly six years after they met, they said, "I do!"
We started out the day getting ready with the guys and gals at their homes before doing some fun reveals of the bride in her spectacular wedding dress, and then it was time to head to Our Lady of the Holy Family Church for their ceremony! This was such a beautiful church and we couldn't wait to see the bride walk down the aisle! After some tears being shed, and laughter being shared, Marlie and Giuseppe officially became husband and wife! And, after grabbing a few shots after the ceremony, it was time to take some photos of the bride and groom in their favorite places!
We were able to get some magnificent memories captured before heading to Venuti's where Marlie and Giuseppe shared a private first dance before their reception. This was such an intimate and personal experience and I'm so honored to have been present to capture it! Then we headed to the reception hall where the party began as soon as the bride and groom walked in! After some cake, lovely speeches, dinner, and first dances, we had a blast dancing the rest of the night away! Thank you so much, and congratulations again, to Marlie & Giuseppe for allowing us to be a part of such a fantastical day, and for finally becoming Mr. and Mrs. Fiduccia!
